Volleyball Recap: Sheets Memorial Christian Takes a Loss

Sheets Memorial Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Cresset Christian Academy. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Cresset Christian Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 5th.

Sheets Memorial Christian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-14, 25-17.

Wells Everhart paced Sheets Memorial Christian's offense, picking up five kills. Everhart were helped by Taylor McNeill and Lauren Hanner, who contributed five assists each. Finally, Everhart was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Sheets Memorial Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Cresset Christian Academy, their record now sits at 4-2.

Sheets Memorial Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Victory Christian Academy on the 29th. As for Cresset Christian Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Durham Flight HomeSchool on the 29th.
