Softball Recap: Delphi Community Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

Delphi Community barely beat Frontier the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Oracles were the clear victors by a 17-5 margin over the Falcons on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Oracles also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2022.

Sami Leopard was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Ally Huffman, who scored two runs and stole five bases.

Delphi Community was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Delphi Community pushed their record up to 1-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Frontier, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Delphi Community will take on Lafayette Jefferson at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Frontier, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clinton Prairie at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
