Basketball Recap: Southwestern Starts Season with Victory Against Danville + How To Watch

Southwestern had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 73-65 win over the Danville Admirals. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Admirals recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Jaelyn Dye was a one-woman wrecking crew as she almost dropped a double-double with 27 points and nine rebounds. What's more, she posted five steals, the most she's had since back in January. Another player making a difference was McKaila Monroe, who shot 55% from the field en route to 12 points and seven boards.

Looking ahead, Southwestern won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Metcalfe County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Danville, they will face off against Wayne County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
