Volleyball Game Preview: Dutchtown Bulldogs vs. Columbia Eagles

The Dutchtown Bulldogs will take on the Columbia Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dutchtown will be strutting in after a victory while Columbia will be coming in after a loss.

Dutchtown is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since August 8, 2024 on Tuesday. They won by a set and slipped past Upson-Lee 2-1.

Dutchtown was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (61-59), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-23, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Columbia unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stephenson on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost three in a row.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-7.
