Basketball Recap: Abilene Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Winters back in December of 2024, Abilene Christian came back down to earth. The Abilene Christian Panthers lost 61-41 to the Strawn Greyhounds on Tuesday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Greyhounds earlier this season, when they won 51-48.

Abilene Christian has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Strawn, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Abilene Christian and Strawn could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Abilene Christian will face off against Fellowship Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 530 places (862 vs. 332). Meanwhile, Strawn (ranked 805th) will meet Eula (ranked 139th) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
