Softball Recap: Millville Quakers vs. Sullivan County Griffins        
        
		
            
 Millville was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They lost  16-1 to the Sullivan County Griffins. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Millville of the  21-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in March.
 Millville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Caitlyn Ludwig, who  went 1-for-1 with  an  RBI.
 On Sullivan County's side,  Emilia Viveiros made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Viveiros was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-2.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Mariah Halabuk, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last five games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Gabby Evans, who  scored three  runs while going 3-for-3.
 Millville's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Sullivan County, they now  have a winning record of 6-5.
 Millville will be staying on the road  on Saturday to face off against Our Lady of Lourdes Regional at 11:00  a.m. As for Sullivan County, they will look to defend their home field  on Tuesday against Columbia Montour Vo-Tech at 4:30  p.m. Sullivan County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.6  runs per game  this season.
