Softball Recap: Fisher Bunnies vs. Tri-Valley Vikings
Fisher extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 6-8-1 in the process. They fell 5-1 to the Tri-Valley Vikings. If the Bunnies were looking for revenge after losing 15-2 to the Vikings when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Tri-Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games.
For Tri-Valley's part, Gretchen Wyant spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Molly Vandiver, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Addie Phillips also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
