Football Recap: Lee-Scott Academy Piles Up the Points Against Beulah + How To Watch

Lee-Scott Academy extended their winning streak to four on Friday, bumping them up to 4-0. They breezed past the Beulah Bobcats to the tune of 70-16. The game marked the Warriors' most dominant victory of the season so far.

It was another big night for Brooks Zachry, who rushed for 161 yards and five TDs on only 12 carries. Zachry is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 115 every time he's taken the field this season. Preston Huguley also helped with two scores in total.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lee-Scott Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 372 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 175 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Lee-Scott Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Easton Gregory.

As for Beulah, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while Lee-Scott Academy is ranked 104th).

Beulah's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cam Baker, who picked up 143 receiving yards and one touchdown. Baker really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 70 yards.

Coming up, Lee-Scott Academy will host Randolph County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 1,130 yards in their previous games. As for Beulah, they will head out on the road to take on Glenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gators' defense has only allowed 11.5 points per game this season, so the Bobcats' offense will have their work cut out for them.
