Football Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

Heritage fell victim to Ralston Valley and their airtight defense on Saturday. They were outmatched by the Mustangs and fell 39-0. The Eagles' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Even if they lost, Heritage's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Phoebe Hudson refused to say out of the backfield, picking up two sacks all by herself.

Kailyn Korkus was nothing short of spectacular for Ralston Valley: she threw for 271 yards and six touchdowns while completing 75.9% of her passes. Those six passing touchdowns gave Korkus a new career-high. Ashlyn Callahan was in the mix as well, providing Ralston Valley with two TDs.

Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Ralston Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Heritage didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-0 defeat against Pomona on the 30th. As for Ralston Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 33-7 victory against Horizon on the 30th.
