Basketball Recap: Newberg Takes a Loss

On Thursday, the Newberg Tigers took a blow against the Century Centurions, falling 69-33. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Tigers came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 100th in Oregon, while the Centurions are ranked 1286th in California).

Newberg has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for Century, they moved to 2-6 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
