Preview: Cedaredge Bruins vs. Coal Ridge Titans
After three games on the road, Cedaredge is heading back home. They will take on the Coal Ridge Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cedaredge will be strutting in after a victory while Coal Ridge will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, Cedaredge's game was all tied up 16-16 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 30-19 win over Aspen.
Cedaredge can attribute much of their success to Carley Malinowski, who scored 8 points along with 12 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Malinowski has scored at least 25% of Cedaredge's points. Another player making a difference was Libby Brooks, who scored 7 points.
Meanwhile, Coal Ridge's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 51-33 fall against Peak to Peak.
Cedaredge now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Coal Ridge, they have fallen quite a ways from their 16-8 record last season and are now at 2-4.
Things could have been worse for Cedaredge, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 40-24 loss to Coal Ridge in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Thankfully for Cedaredge, Jackie Camunez (who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
