Baseball Recap: Wheatland Comes Up Short

Wheatland lost a heartbreaker to Pleasant Hope when they met back in May of 2021, and they left with a heavy heart again on Monday. The Mules took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates. The Mules have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Wheatland's defeat dropped their record down to 19-3. As for Pleasant Hope, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13.

Wheatland wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 14-2 victory against Walnut Grove on the 6th. As for Pleasant Hope, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-10 loss against Spokane on the 6th.
