Basketball Recap: Lanier Comes Up Short

Lanier lost to Florence on January 13th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 32-29.

Lanier has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for Florence, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 22-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lanier is set to challenge their familiar foe Vicksburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Florence will square off against rival Holmes County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
