Softball Recap: Greenon Takes a Loss

Greenon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Tecumseh Arrows, falling 19-11. Even if the Knights couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Madelyn Diller was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Kelley, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Greenon's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Tecumseh, the win snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 4-9 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenon will host West Liberty-Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Tecumseh, they will be playing at home against Benjamin Logan at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
