Volleyball Recap: Newton-Conover Takes a Loss

Newton-Conover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Bandys Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-9, 25-12.

Bandys found their leader in sophomore Reagan Saunders, who had 12 assists.

Newton-Conover's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Bandys, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Newton-Conover is set to face off against their familiar foe North Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bandys will square off against rival Foard at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
