Football Recap: Arcanum Skates Past Bradford with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arcanum). They really took it to the Bradford Railroaders for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-0 win. The Trojans pushed the score to 55-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Railroaders had no chance of recovering from.

Mj Macy continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 57 yards and a pair of TDs. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Hudson Knaus was another key back, rushing for 23 yards and two touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Arcanum was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 200 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 195 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Arcanum's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB 4.5 times. Avery Bowser was especially locked on to Bradford's QB and sacked him twice. Bishop Cartwright got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Arcanum's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Bradford, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arcanum will head out to face off against Preble Shawnee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will need to watch out since the Arrows have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Bradford, they will head out on the road to take on Tri-County North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Railroaders will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 48 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
