Recap: Sierra Blanca Vaqueros vs. Dell City Cougars
Even though the Dell City Cougars scored an imposing 62 points on Tuesday, the Sierra Blanca Vaqueros still came out on top. Sierra Blanca managed a 67-62 win over Dell City. The win made it back-to-back wins for Sierra Blanca.
When it comes to explaining why Dell City lost, one person who can't be blamed is Reyes Espinoza. Despite the final result, he scored 32 points along with six steals. Espinoza scored a full 51.6% of Dell City's points, the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Isaac Estrada was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Sierra Blanca is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for Dell City, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sierra Blanca will take on Marfa at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dell City, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Balmorhea at 6:30 p.m.
