Baseball Recap: Homer Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Homer's offense. They came up short against D'Arbonne Woods on Thursday, falling 17-0. It was the first time this season that the Pelicans let down their fans at home.

Homer saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ray Castro, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Homer is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6. As for D'Arbonne Woods, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-7.

Looking ahead, Homer will head out on the road to face off against Forest at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. As for D'Arbonne Woods, they will welcome Loyola College Prep at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
