Volleyball Recap: Northern York Polar Bears vs. Red Land Patriots
After flying high against Hershey on Tuesday, Northern York came back down to earth. The Polar Bears took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Land Patriots on Thursday. The Polar Bears haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Northern York might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Red Land: every set was decided by two points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 26-24, 23-25, 25-23.
Wyatt Brown paced Northern York's offense, picking up 18 kills. Brown got some help from Tyler Allen and his 24 assists. Finally, Jacob Spahr kept Northern York's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.
Northern York's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Red Land, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-2-1.
