Softball Recap: Penn Kingsmen vs. South Bend Saint Joseph Huskies
Penn won the last time they faced South Bend Saint Joseph and things went their way on Thursday too. The Kingsmen walked away with a 13-9 win over the Huskies. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Kingsmen.

Penn got a great performance from Caitlyn Denny as she struck out eight batters over 6.1 innings while giving up four earned (and five unearned) runs off 11 hits (and only one walk). Denny has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Penn let Izabella Hanna and Ava Zachary run wild. Hanna went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Zachary went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Hanna has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Bogunia, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Penn's victory bumped their record up to 18-4. As for South Bend Saint Joseph, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Penn beat the Huskies by a score of 12-0 later that day.
