Recap: Tanner Rattlers vs. Elkmont Red Devils
The Tanner Rattlers won the last time they faced the Elkmont Red Devils, and things went their way on Monday too. Tanner came out on top against Elkmont by a score of 60-53.
Skylar Townsend continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Tailan Hall was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Tanner now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Elkmont, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tanner will take on Whitesburg Christian Academy at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Whitesburg Christian Academy is ranked 206th, while Tanner is ranked 229th). Elkmont won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lindsay Lane Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 9th. Lindsay Lane Christian Academy is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses.
