Football Game Preview: Istrouma Indians vs. Belaire Bengals + Official Tickets

The Istrouma Indians will face off against the Belaire Bengals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither Istrouma nor Belaire posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

On Friday, Istrouma came up short against Lord Beaconsfield Landry and fell 18-8. The contest marked the Indians' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Even if they lost, Istrouma's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Sam Polk with two. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 5.5 sacks on the season. Istrouma got some further help from Jordan Otis: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made six total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Belaire was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 51-12 loss at the hands of Brusly. The Bengals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.

Belaire's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Istrouma, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Istrouma took their victory against Belaire in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 40-16 score. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Bengals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
