Volleyball Recap: Pittsburg Comes Up Short

Pittsburg's tournament run continued when they took on Sierra on Saturday. Pittsburg fell 2-0 to Sierra.

Jermanie Earnest paced Pittsburg's offense, picking up four kills. Earnest got some help from Angel Lozano De La Cruz and his five assists. Erick Espinosa and Sebastian Salazar kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Pittsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Sierra, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Pittsburg will welcome Heritage at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sierra has already played their next contest (against East Union), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
