Spoto never got on the board in their matchup last Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against King on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 19-3 margin over the King Lions. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 15 runs or more this season.
Lena Murphy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. Murphy was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and four RBI.
In other batting news, Serenity Robles was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those hits marked the first that she got this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Makiaya Albury, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Spoto always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
