Basketball Recap: Guerin Catholic Continues Road Dominance on Wednesday

Guerin Catholic lost to New Palestine back in January of 2015, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles walked away with a 50-43 victory over the New Palestine Dragons. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Eagles.

Ava Bills continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 4-for-6 from downtown and almost dropping a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. Lillian Behrle was another key player, putting up nine points and four steals.

Guerin Catholic's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-5. As for New Palestine, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-6.

Guerin Catholic will welcome Purdue Polytechnic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Purdue Polytechnic will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Guerin Catholic surely won't give up without a fight. As for New Palestine, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Franklin County at 2:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
