Softball Game Preview: ED White Commanders vs. Englewood Rams

The ED White Commanders will square off against the Englewood Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. ED White is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

ED White lost 18-3 to Sandalwood on Monday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Englewood). Everything went their way against Riverside on Wednesday as they made off with a 25-10 win.

Kendra Rouse was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Rouse was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Englewood got a massive performance out of Kiandra Carswell, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Haley Walding was another key player, scoring four runs while going 4-for-4.

Englewood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .900. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Englewood's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4. As for ED White, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
