Recap: East Robertson Indians vs. Christian Community Colts
The East Robertson Indians won the last time they faced the Christian Community Colts, and things went their way on Friday too. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2023 than the 55-20 stomp they got on the road against Christian Community. That looming 55-20 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for East Robertson yet this season.
Christian Community's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anna Nix, who scored four points along with nine rebounds. Those nine rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Makenzie Rigsby, who scored four points.
The victory makes it two in a row for East Robertson and bumps their season record up to 5-3. As for Christian Community, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.
East Robertson will finish 2023 at home by hosting Hendersonville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Christian Community will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against White House-Heritage at 1:00 p.m. on December 30th. White House-Heritage will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 275th, while Christian Community is ranked 137th).
