Baltimore City Division II recap September 17, 2013
Lewis scaled the state rankings by moving to 154 from 180 this week, the biggest jump in Baltimore City Division II. The Falcons climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Forest Park 32-6.
The Foresters were the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from sixth to fourth in the league. Earlier in the week, Forest Park defeated Forest Park 32-6.
Lewis' dynamic duo of Rashard Chavis and Marcus Morgan proved tough for Don Williams' team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Chavis threw for 196 yards and 4 touchdowns and Morgan had 83 yards receiving. Demetrius Eldridge Jr helped Lewis' passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 83 yards.
Donte' Foster's team's dynamic duo of Chavis and Morgan proved to be unstoppable against the Foresters, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Cameron West was a passing and rushing force as Douglass bested Northwestern. He completed 11 passes for 180 yards and also ran for 35 yards. West's key target this week was Teon Maesar, who caught 3 passes for 48 yards.
Morgan was the best receiver in the league this week as the Falcons beat Forest Park.
Da'Quan Alexander was the most successful running back in Baltimore City Division II this week. He ran for 63 yards on 15 carries as the Mighty Ducks bested the Foresters.
Chavis put up the best numbers through the air as the Falcons bested Forest Park.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Du Bois takes on the Wildcats. At the moment, the Panthers are in seventh, while Northwestern is in fifth.
Lewis took down the Foresters 32-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Chavis ran for 10 yards and caught 2 passes for 27 yards during the win.
