Baseball Recap: South Fulton Red Devils vs. Carlisle County Comets

South Fulton extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping their season record down to 6-8 in the process. They lost 10-0 to the Carlisle County Comets. The shutout was out of character for the Red Devils seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

As for Carlisle County, their record now sits at 8-6. With that win, they brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

For Carlisle County's part, Koltyn Perez was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Perez has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Lawsin Moore was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Brennan O'Neill was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Fulton will square off against Humboldt at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carlisle County, they will face off against Massac County on Thursday.
