Preview: Borah Lions vs. Timberline Wolves
Borah has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Tuesday. They will take on the Timberline Wolves at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Borah beat Boise 44-40. The victory was just what Borah needed coming off of a 63-43 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Timberline put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 51-40 win over Ridgevue. Given Timberline's advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while Ridgevue is ranked 43rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Alex Ko was his usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Elder, who scored 7 points.
Preston's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Borah's defeat dropped theirs to 1-2.
Borah came up short against Timberline in their previous meeting back in February, falling 49-38. Can Borah avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
