Volleyball Game Preview: Huntsville Panthers vs. Thompson Warriors

The Huntsville Panthers will face off against the Thompson Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Huntsville will be strutting in after a victory while Thompson will be coming in after a loss.

It was a proper cat-fight when Huntsville challenged Lindsay Lane Christian Academy on Saturday. The Panthers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Lions.

Meanwhile, Thompson entered their matchup against Hoover on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Warriors fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 3-2.

Thompson wouldn't go down easily and took Hoover into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-19, 25-14, 24-26, 15-11.

Huntsville's victory bumped their record up to 23-6. As for Thompson, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 18-6.

Huntsville came out on top in a nail-biter against Thompson when the teams last played back in August of 2022, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
