Baseball Recap: Sumner Takes a Loss

Sumner lost against Lennard back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Stingrays fell just short of the Longhorns by a score of 2-1.

Sumner saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Winston Pennant, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Sumner has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Lennard, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season.

Sumner will head out on the road to face off against Spoto at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lennard, they will welcome Steinbrenner at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
