Volleyball Game Preview: ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars vs. Wethersfield Flying Geese

The ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars are taking a road trip to square off against the Wethersfield Flying Geese at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

ROWVA/Williamsfield is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Henry-Senachwine just ended the team's nine-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to the Mallards.

ROWVA/Williamsfield was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 12 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Wethersfield waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Princes by a score of 2-0.

While Wethersfield won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-23.

ROWVA/Williamsfield's loss dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Wethersfield, their win bumped their record up to 18-2.

ROWVA/Williamsfield couldn't quite get it done against Wethersfield in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
