Football Recap: Dominguez Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Dominguez has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were beaten by the La Mirada Matadores 34-7 on Friday. The Dons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 20-0.

Dominguez didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Hasani Minott and Daveon Brim.

Ace Faagata was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 100 yards and two scores on only five carries, and also threw for 22 yards and one TD. Those 100 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Dominguez's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for La Mirada, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5.

Dominguez wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 42-18 loss against Mayfair on the 24th. As for La Mirada, they have also already played their next game, a 37-16 win against Paramount on the 24th.
