Basketball Recap: Premont Takes a Loss

Premont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Agua Dulce Longhorns 82-23. While losing is never fun, the Cowboys can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1622nd, while the Longhorns are ranked 689th).

Premont's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Agua Dulce, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.

Premont will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Freer at 5:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. As for Agua Dulce, they will take on Port Isabel in a tournament on Friday.
