Softball Recap: Legacy Christian Academy Lions vs. PACT Charter Panthers
Legacy Christian Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Friday, dropping their season record down to 0-8 in the process. They lost 16-1 to the PACT Charter Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 33-5 back in April.
As for PACT Charter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by ten runs or more this season.
For PACT Charter's part, Mia Sparre made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Sparre has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run.
In other batting news, June Tessum was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Sonja Larsen was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
Coming up, Legacy Christian Academy will take on New Life Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for PACT Charter, they are taking a road trip to square off against St. Agnes at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
