Basketball Game Preview: Sebastian River Sharks vs. Cocoa Tigers

Having just played yesterday, the Sebastian River Sharks will head out on the road to face off against the Cocoa Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sebastian River will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Sebastian River will head into Tuesday's game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 22-point drubbing they dealt West Shore on Tuesday. Everything went Sebastian River's way against West Shore as Sebastian River made off with a 62-40 win. The Sharks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Cocoa strolled past Merritt Island with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 51-35.

Cocoa had a senior duo take command as Frederick Boateng went 5 of 7 en route to 14 points and three steals and Jerome Jones posted eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Those seven boards gave Jones a new career-high. Tony Adderley was another key player, putting up seven points and five rebounds.

Sebastian River is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.9 points per game. As for Cocoa, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.

Sebastian River skirted past Cocoa 55-53 in their previous matchup on January 3rd. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sebastian River since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
