Soccer Game Preview: Western Heights vs. Bishop McGuinness

Western Heights hasn't had much luck against Bishop McGuinness recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Jets will head out to challenge the Fighting Irish at 7:00 p.m.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Western Heights and Carl Albert have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Jets fell just short of the Titans by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Bishop McGuinness sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Guymon on Friday. Given Bishop McGuinness' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma soccer rankings (they are ranked 13th, while Guymon are ranked 67th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bishop McGuinness has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3-1 record this season. As for Western Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Western Heights came up short against Bishop McGuinness in their previous meeting back in May of 2018, falling 2-0. Can the Jets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
