Volleyball Recap: Sofia Bettini and Abigail Warnock Secure Win for Academy at the Lakes + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, Academy at the Lakes rose to the challenge on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Oasis Christian Lions.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-5, 25-16.

Academy at the Lakes was led to victory by Abigail Warnock and Sofia Bettini. Warnock had ten assists and three aces, while Bettini hit 55.6% for six kills and 15 aces and one assist. Those 15 aces gave Bettini a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Academy at the Lakes was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 14 consecutive matchups.

Academy at the Lakes now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Oasis Christian, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21.

Looking ahead, Academy at the Lakes will take on Classical Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oasis Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
