Soccer Game Preview: Chaparral vs. Castle View

The Chaparral Wolverines will face off against the Castle View Sabercats at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Castle View will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Chaparral extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Wolverines never let Ponderosa get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. Given Chaparral's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 15th, while Ponderosa are ranked 77th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chaparral hit Ponderosa with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Isabelle Schroder (2), Charlotte Chen, Sutton Persichina, and Emerson Sprinkle.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Castle View made sure to put some goals up on the board against Highlands Ranch on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 4-0 victory. Considering Castle View's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Castle View's win bumped their record up to 8-1-3. As for Chaparral, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.
