Football Game Preview: Glen Lake Lakers vs. East Jordan Red Devils + How To Watch

The Glen Lake Lakers will square off against the East Jordan Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Glen Lake is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.

Glen Lake is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Mancelona get on the board and left with a 32-0 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Lakers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Ironmen are ranked 266th).

Glen Lake got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sam Dykstra out in front who rushed for 103 yards and one score on only seven carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Kingston Palmer, who rushed for 36 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Glen Lake was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 220 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mancelona only rushed for 54.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for East Jordan against Frankfort on Friday as the squad secured a 34-6 win. The Red Devils have beaten the Panthers the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.

Glen Lake's record is now 8-1. As for East Jordan, their record now sits at 7-3.

Glen Lake skirted past East Jordan 24-22 in their previous meeting back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lakers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
