Recap: Manila Mustangs vs. Wendover Wildcats
The Manila Mustangs managed to keep up with the Wendover Wildcats until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Manila was outmatched by Wendover at home and fell 65-38. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Manila has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Manila still got an impressive performance from Riley Browning, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Browning also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Teague Goodman was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds.
Manila struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Wendover's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Raul Valle, who scored 15 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tre Tangaro, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Manila and nudges their season record down to 10-5. As for Wendover, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 13-1.
