Baseball Recap: Del Sol Takes a Loss

Del Sol was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 16-6 to the Sierra Vista Mountain Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mountain Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-4 last Saturday.

Tony Luna was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Del Sol's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Sierra Vista, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Del Sol and Sierra Vista will both be playing Desert Pines the next time they take the field. The Dragons will host the Jaguars at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Mountain Lions will host them at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
