Basketball Game Preview: Tinora Rams vs. Stryker Panthers

Tinora and Stryker are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2016, but not for long. The Tinora Rams will finish 2024 at home by hosting the Stryker Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Tinora took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Holgate, posting a 50-11 victory. That looming 50-11 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rams yet this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stryker). They came out on top against Hicksville by a score of 52-41 last Monday. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 298th, while the Aces are ranked 599th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Stryker's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.0 points per game. As for Tinora, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
