Soccer Game Preview: Lumpkin County vs. Commerce

The Lumpkin County Indians are taking a road trip to face off against the Commerce Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Lumpkin County is headed into Thursday's contest hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They lost 6-1 to Johnson on Tuesday. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Lumpkin County couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Commerce entered their game against Providence Christian Academy on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Tigers fell just short of the Storm by a score of 2-1.

Commerce suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 5-7. As for Lumpkin County, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
