Basketball Recap: North Pontotoc Takes a Loss

North Pontotoc was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-54 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ripley Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Vikings have suffered since November 14, 2024.

North Pontotoc's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Ripley, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Pontotoc won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Byhalia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ripley has already played their next game (against Shannon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
