Volleyball Game Preview: Ben Lomond Scots vs. Morgan Trojans

After both having extra time off, the Ben Lomond Scots and the Morgan Trojans will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Ben Lomond lost 3-0 to Grantsville last Tuesday. The Scots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-13, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Morgan came into Thursday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over West Field last Thursday.

Morgan was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-17, 20-25, 25-17.

Ben Lomond better focus on containing Caleb Stephens and Ryker Field as the pair were huge in Morgan's win. Stephens had eight digs, two blocks, and two aces, while Field had 12 digs. Stephens has been hot, having also posted 18 or more assists the last seven times he's played.

Ben Lomond's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Morgan, their record is now 8-4.

Ben Lomond might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Morgan in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Scots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
