Basketball Game Preview: Cambridge Bobcats vs. Indian Valley Braves

The Cambridge Bobcats will square off against the Indian Valley Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Cambridge sitting on eight straight wins and Indian Valley on 11.

Cambridge can't be too worried about heading out to take on Indian Valley: they just beat East Liverpool at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Cambridge walked away with a 52-45 victory over East Liverpool on Saturday.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Indian Valley against Indian Creek on Tuesday as the squad secured a 61-29 win. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 24 points or more this season.

Cambridge's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points over those games. As for Indian Valley, their win bumped their record up to 19-4.

Cambridge came up short against Indian Valley in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 53-43. Can Cambridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
