Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Abbeville). Everything went their way against the Calhoun Falls Charter Blue Flashes on Tuesday as Abbeville made off with a 24-2 victory. Considering the Panthers have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Dayne Botts made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Botts was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Abbeville got a massive performance out of Ben Overholt, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Overholt a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Easton Townsend, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Abbeville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .811. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Abbeville and bumps their season record up to 10-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Calhoun Falls Charter, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
