Softball Recap: Schenectady Takes a Loss

The Schenectady Patriots lost 22-2 to the Albany Academy Bears on Friday.

Schenectady's record is now 0-5. As for Albany Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Schenectady will square off against Scotia-Glenville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Albany Academy, they will challenge Watervliet at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cannoneers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.6 runs per game on average), something the Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of.
